why are all my friends on instances that got blocklisted as a "bug"? yeah i am on a particular side of fedi, that has mainly trans people in it. correlation? maybe. could all my fedi friends be absolute jerks who deserve to be on a blocklist? probably not, bc then it would be on purpose, and not as a " bug". so it seems these "bugs" are systematically isolating minority instances. if the response to this is that this system actually works well to protect those it intends to protect, then that means we don't fall into that category. which could be fine, if they weren't actively causing harm. but it is an indefensible position to say that it's fine if my blocklist hurts your minority group, as long as it's protecting mine.
