   @jason TLS+HTTP auth is reasonably secure for such task.
   
   Please note that SSL is depreciated and very insecure.

     i have a small website which uses #Nginx to serve a few static files for family.
     Four people at most will use it.

     it is ssl only, using a letsencrypt cert.

     I’d like to password protect it. Is http basic auth good enough? are there better (yet easy to setup) options out there?

     Please boost. Need help :)
