     @shibao For the last couple generations the i5 and up have been able to use ECC memory.
     
     AFAIK all Ryzen CPUs support it. It's just that it's not officially supported on some consumer lines but they don't disable it. Motherboard manufacturers don't validate for ECC so YMMV but any decent motherboard shouldn't have problems.

     @shibao I'd also do a quick Google search about your CPU just to make sure it's supported either officially or unofficially before you go out and buy some.
