@neko @MischievousTomato actually it's better when the api and abi break on every minor release
      but qtfags wouldn't get it

@Paulo @MischievousTomato QT is also a big boy but all the containers are great to work with and still relatively fine for embedded (if not better I heard?), it's the first set of documentation that I don't want to :marseyeyemixer3: every time i need to reference something, its just so perfect to read....

it just blows my mind how fucking fast and efficient and solid and portable it manages to be, i'd kiss the devs on the cheeks its some of the nicest stuff to work with, they essentially turned C++ into their own subset of a language with all the neat macros too

@MischievousTomato @neko qt apps work under gnome
gtk would be significantly nicer if the devs were more responsible (in a few years gtk 3 could become the win32 of linux, if the devs stop being faggots)

@Paulo @MischievousTomato GTK is kind of on Life support with legacy stuff it always feels like when I use it. Slow and bulky in design (for fucks sake, opening menubar menus spike my cpu on older laptops with GTK3) and its nearing it's 25th anniversary. I don't personally mind their design decisions but god damn they're really trying to ride it into the ground. All this while QT is getting large improvements and becoming faster, it really makes GTK look like a joke in comparison

@neko qt containers feel nice but they are a lot slower and less portable than stl containers

but also, in every scenario where you should be using stl containers over qt containers, you shouldn’t be using qt to begin with
