@Sophistifunk I'd imagine so. But it needs to be noted that planting trees is hardly a solution if you want to lower the CO2 levels in the atmosphere.I mean, sure, plants do make carbon dioxide into complex sugars like cellulose and lignin (basically wood), but they live like 50-60 years on average, then they die, they decompose and all that carbon gets released right back into the air.Sadly, microbes figured out how to digest cellulose and lignin since carboniferous era, thus no new coal deposits
@Sophistifunk I'm thinking that if they were really serious about all this bullshit, they'll just flood a bunch of Sahara desert with like 2 inches of water, wait like a week till algae start feeling like home, scoop the sludge up, pump it into empty oil well, prince and repeat.... it's no-brainer. And you'd be also creating new oil reserves in the process. Would take a few million years, of course, but it's not like they know how to count anyways
@Sophistifunk@ThatCrazyDude That train thing is indeed pretty stupid. Obviously this carbon or capture is the wrong topic to discuss to start with. There is a very simple and free solution that makes this fictional problem go away instantly. 🧐
