idle thought: in star trek the bridge is organized in a way that makes sense for filming (eg if you have the camera at the front of the bridge you see most of the actors facing it, as well as the cool high tech displays), but would probably be kind of terrible for a military vessel in practice (frequent video conference calls with hostile adversaries where the ship's vitals are all on display in the background, as well as easy visual confirmation of who all the important officers are) 🤔

Like sometimes when they hail an alien ship you get a background that's just their empire's logo, which doesn't make sense for a spaceship bridge eiter. Maybe if you're hailing the Cardassians or someone you just have the screen do a close up on the captain or else use a zoom background.
But yeah, other times we do see the full bridge in the background, so that does seem a bit... tactically reckless.
