If we have to improve the UI for messages, what would you expect?
PS: there are already some customizations (remove left margin, display counters, change colors). #Fedilab

@hayo
Next release will fix a bug with push notifications.
@apps not sure. but are you aware of any issues with notifications not coming until a random time late at night? i've tinkered with all the settings but can't find the issue.. i just won't get fedilab notifications during the day.
@hayo
You use push notifications? Have you the Google or Fdroid release?
@Piky_Nieves
You mean instead of doing it automatically?
@apps
Sorry if it is near to offtopic,
What if adding "Fetching new messages" in timeline?
(kind of what Mastodon Oficial app does)
@Piky_Nieves @hayo
Not only
@apps
Is that fix related to fdroid users?
@Piky_Nieves @hayo
Yes
@ePD5qRxX
You use truncate messages over x lines?
A fix for the first line cut off at the top, which sometimes occurs...
@Piky_Nieves
It's done automatically when reselecting the tab.
@apps
I mean something like this. ;-)

Allow to add Bookmarks and Favorites in the navigation bar.
@elshid
We never got that report. We need more details.
@apps
When I am in a thread, I get all toots two times. That annoys me.
@Oaktag @kallekn @blue_led
Have you enabled fit preview images?
@kallekn
This is still a problem for me also, and it's my main problem with Fedilab
@blue_led @apps
@blue_led @apps The same one I have, but from Google Play. Haven't experienced the problem lately.
🤔
@kallekn @apps
I have Fedilab 3.24.1 installed via F-Droid. From what I can tell this is the latest release. I've had the jumping around happen today again.
FWIW the server seems to be running Mastodon 4.1.6.
@blue_led @apps This was an issue in earlier versions but I have not seen it lately. The app seems to remember my position very well and the timeline hardly moves at all when automatically fetching new messages. This is maybe the single best feature of #fedilab 🙂
@apps
Not sure if it matches what you're asking for, but anyway:
A way to stop messages from jumping around all the time. I sometimes completely lose my way and can't tell what I've already read and what's new. The reading position jumps up and down many messages at a time, probably when new boosts are encountered during message fetch so that older messages move up in the timeline.
Personally I'd prefer boosts to not affect the order of messages at all unless they are very old.
@Oaktag @kallekn @blue_led
And if you disable it, you don't get those jumps?
