   I prefer the Twitter safety team.

   The old one. And yes, I know we're mostly talking about a period from 2017, to about 2021 here.

   Having seen the various alternatives, I prefer the Twitter safety team. Which in turn, is totally dependent on centralization.

   I understand that it's "just trusting a different group of people" but the fact that they weren't in the community, got paid and were theoretically accountable for their decisions, seems to have mattered.

     (also: as evidence that was doing something - what's the first thing Elon blew up at Twitter? To the point that it was almost like he bought Twitter to be able to fire them? Yeah, the Twitter Safety Team.

     I complained about them a lot while I was there, and no they weren't perfect; but having spent years on each platform, I very much prefer the Twitter Safety Team. I think the outcomes were more fair, less whack, way more consistently. Even if yes, they did fail often dude to volume.)

     (It's not even that I think Twitter was good; Mastodon is much better at banning nazis, for BEING nazis, for example.

     But in terms of reporting, taking moderation action, and eliminating the kind of defamatory dogpiles I see out here every two days - Twitter is much better, or was, before the Afrikaner bought it. I absolutely had shit about me taken down for being false out there. That can't even happen here. So...balls and strikes.)

     @AnarchoNinaWrites twitter was even going after deadnaming and misgendering for like two seconds before Elon rushed in to put a stop to that
