     @mushroom_soup @DocScranton ok that much silver, even at low purity, would cost MUCH more than 25 cents they'd never release a silver quarter nowadays people would melt them down for the metal.
     
     Also silver is pretty unsuitable for coins compared to modern metals, it tarnishes and wears away over time.

     @DocScranton that being said it does have a bronze color on the edge from wear so it's probably not silver
