     absolutely reject community first. if your software project community can't produce good software then you have completely failed. But if your community is hostile and toxic and creates good software, that is not good but at least you have achieved the goal you originally set out to accomplish.

     @Moon@shitposter.club the traditional leftist meaning of inclusion is that you take a proactive stance to not exclude people based upon things that are non-voluntary (such as skin color, gender, sex, etc)
     i.e stupid democrat "tolerance" but it's not "tolerating" but actively trying to make sure peeps be comfy
     it explicitly does not and should not actually apply to things like de facto behavioral problems etc, but I guess people forgot that

     @tost You may be thinking of BJ Blaskowitz but yeah exactly, the term inclusion doesn't really mean anything because everyone has standards you have to tease out.

     @tost I don't believe everybody's on the same page for that anymore. Also actively trying to make people comfortable is mostly good but not strictly necessary.

     I find thinking in those terms to be limiting, tbh
     strict categorization of your group type isn't useful unless you actually fall 100% into one of such classifications
     which does happen but is rare

     @tost the document also mentions "community of action" over "community of practice". I had to look up those terms. When I was done I was like "okay, I think community of practice is better" so I guess I have fundamental difference of values with the people that created that document.
