   @stufromoz @NewtonMark They commission a professionally-written report into something completely obvious.

   With an executive summary, because they won't read the report.

   With key findings and key recommendations listed in dot points near the front, because they won't bother reading the executive summary.

   With a webinar summarising the most important dot points, because they won't bother reading the dot points.

   With a Q&A session at the end of the webinar, because they won't have bothered paying attention to the webinar.

   The key recommendations will mostly go ignored and unimplemented.

   Any attempts to implement meaningful changes at lower levels of the hierarchy will be stifled by corporate politics and inertia, until the corporate change consultant comes in and recommends the same thing as internal staff, at 10x the cost.
