@sun_eater @paula not an expert but iirc in a lot of countries raw egg is edible, but in others (like the us) its not advised cause if you wash eggs it can cause a risk of salmonella somehow. Probably why eggs are refridgerated here in the us too.
Mayo afterall is basically just egg, vinegar, and oil blended together.

they tried that in japan, only bringing chickens that had been tested and were thought to be safe
didn't work
it is a lot safer there but there's still a risk
