🧵The Conspiracy theory MAIN THEORY is inherently impossible.
That a cabal of elite have been running the world and planning ahead for decades if not centuries.
An anecdote about Napoleon after his conquest of Piedmont during the Italian Campaign:
“He recounted that he had been stationed at Dego two years earlier, when he had been in charge of an artillery column. He had proposed the same invasion strategy then, but it had been rejected by a council of war. Then he added ‘Nothing should ever be decided by this means in an army under [my] command’, and said that these councils were only ever resorted to as ‘a cowardly proceeding’ intended to distribute blame.”
.
This is how bad committees are at doing anything. A monarchy or sole proprietorship under one man, can conquer a major chunk of northern Italy within a month, but a committee of GENERALS all trained and experienced french officers who all agree on the objective cannot achieve the same thing with the plans presented to them by the very genius who would go on to do it himself.
How many committees are ever set up for success like this? 1%? Less? Where everyone on the committee is trained, experienced, and qualified, who’ve been selected and the committee formed specifically for this narrow task, and selected the personalities are not clashing over WHAT they want to achieve but merely HOW, and then they have what they need to do handed to them on a silver platter by the most competent man in human history… and they dithered it and did nothing.
THIS IS HOW AWFUL COMMITTEES ARE.
and yet we’re supposed to believe a distributed cabal has remained coherent across multiple to dozens of generations, responding to novel challenges that cut across all the domains of geopolitics, and we’d expect would immediately throw all their interests into conflict, with all these figures in variably out of their depths 90% of the time (since no one can be a tier one expert except in a narrow domain) and after 50-100 years they’re somehow proactive enough that they can all agree and then execute the Assassination of a Kennedy or an Attack like 9/11?
obviously not.
Now the Assassination of Kennedy was probably a conspiracy, and 9/11 was 100% a conspiracy, even if it was just former CIA asset and scion of plutocratic family Bin Laden coordinating with his radical Saudi passport holding friends… that’s like the definition of a conspiracy a secret criminal plot.
but the idea of some unified cabal that is coherent and running all the common criminal geopolitical conspiracies that move the world? Impossible.
The world is not a secret pyramid, its a swamp fetid creatures and parasites…
this is good news… swamp creatures defend themselves, but they're Inherently bad at any complex coordination or multistep planning.
that would take a napoleon, who’d probably let you know he was doing it (what with glory and all that)on-lain ✔ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ likes this. -

smartomato (smartomato@eientei.org)'s status on Saturday, 02-Sep-2023 23:08:22 JST smartomato @lain @cjd the issue is that strutural problems dont need to be ill intendently planned. A less politixal example would be the whole problem with modern science, that not only has dificulty reproducing results but has obvious bias toward ideologies and theories that give more validity to the system.
Scientists dont need to be comicbook villains all in acourd to falsify results and systematically support the system. The simple fact that most research is funded by the system and that they have to “show results” to get funding and prestige its enough for them to act the way they act.
I would recomend everybody in this thread to check this article by Theodore Kaczynski. And yes I keep the term “the System” vague just like him because everybody with their personal political believes defines it differently and trying to define it explicitally would probably derail the convo.
