It’s kind of wild as a trans woman rn, with our existence being debated in the larger culture war, how much our lives are actually no longer in a blind spot. There’s not as much, for example, “oh, she didn’t MEAN any harm by misgendering your friend… why are so you so upset?” as there was several years ago, in my experience.

Compare, for example, to statements like “oh, she didn’t MEAN any harm by saying [thing that raises red flags of anti-semitism]… why are you so upset?”
