   i find that the fact that I cannot predict whether '24 will have Trump, Biden, or another as the U.S. PREZ to interest me.

   I really have no idea how it will unfold.

   Maybe the ALIENS [blue beam] will invade before we have to see how this all plays out.

     @jessecoynelson I'm fully expecting Biden. If Trump is blocked from being the nominee there will be a reckoning. And a Trump presidency is simply unacceptable situation. They will not let it happen. So the only outcome that doesn't result in total collapse of the system is that Biden wins the election. They have precident for cracking down on "stolen election" rhetoric, so despite the outcrys it will come to naught and Biden will rule again.

     @ned @jessecoynelson that is my thought as well. Everyone at work is swearing there will be a civil war if Buren wins or if trump isn't allowed to get in, but I am like.... 'who is going to lead the charge'?. Gotta have a unified force to start a civil war. A bunch of pissed off red necks won't get anything meaningful done.

     @SirRoadwolf @jessecoynelson if Trump is blocked from running I can see that as a watershed moment for drawing battle lines. A tangible example that destroys the American mythos of democracy will be fatal.

     @ned @jessecoynelson I'll agree that it seemingly needs to happen. And I'd participate, as will most of the people I know. But there would need to be a central way to co-ordinate it.

     In reality, a portion of the armed forces would need to be the driving force. But if the pentagon got wind of a rogue battalion planning things, they would surely create an overseas situation to deploy them to so they aren't a factor.

     The military ousted most of the patriotic Generals back during Obama's reign.

     @SirRoadwolf @jessecoynelson no I don't necessarily mean civil war™. What I mean is there are certain things that make up the idea of "America". Freedom, democracy, etc. If the people loose faith in one of those things the national identity that holds America together will decay and crumble. It will lead to corruption and factions and infighting. And it will take a Ceasar or Nepolian style dictator to hold it together.
