When people say that rightists aren’t inclined to lash out yet because they’re still too comfortable, they’re onto something. But will rightists lash out when they are made uncomfortable, like they have to start checking their account balances to obtain food? Like actually. I’m really skeptical.

Every time you get asked to yield a minor freedom for the good of society, or be uncomfortable, you have a few choices: Yield freedom, Be uncomfortable, Acquire comfort extralegally, Lash out.
For many, the line was crossed before they became independent of their parents. It's in the past. Which minor change will you choose to lash out over? As long as not too many lash out at once, there's no problem. Any change that seems like it will be a problem will just be redrafted in to minuter steps, or approached from another angle.
If you want lash-outs, then you must trick the taker of steps to thread boldly.NEETzsche likes this.
