Doom Eternal is an action/farming game. In this game, you play as Doomslayer, a man on a quest to become the best farmer (and also the only one since he kills any competition). What you do with your pet demons is up to you. You can:
- kill them
- capture them alive and keep them as pets
- capture them alive and then have fun killing them as your morning workout
- craft new weapons and many other things
- level up your crafting equipment such as your chainsaw
- gather materials while going on quests in hell
and so much more! I look at Stardew Valley, then at Doom Eternal, and I can hardly see a difference in gameplay except maybe that you can't marry the cacodemons (huge flaw there Bethesda, that's probably why people keep on playing Stardew Valley after all these years)
