@eike it's not the amount of memory so much as the constant stalling and lag. I have one of the most powerful consumer CPUs in the world and it constantly stalls out for multiple seconds doing extremely trivial tasks. Jet brains IDEs that take almost double the memory are extremely snappy. Almost as fast as using basic vim in a terminal.
Visual Studio today is just a lumbering behemoth full of cruft. Many developers seem to be abandoning it these days because it's so hard to work with anymore.- Sexy Moon likes this.

@eike visual studio is shit these days but there's a few very small things it can do that I dont think anybody else can right now. Maybe once every 2 weeks I have to break it open and suffer. -
