We all know the main story: Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is hearing the federal January 6 case against Trump in D.C., ordered a trial date of March 4, 2024. It was a huge blow to Trump and his legal team, who had pressed for an April 2026 date, no doubt hoping to land on a compromise date sometime in 2025, well after the election.
