   There is already a feature to prevent this, it's called "group boosts". It is on by default.

   Unfortunately, "group boosts" is currently hardcoded to allow boosts to repeat after 40 other posts have appeared in your timeline. This was an okay limit a long time ago when the Fediverse wasn't very busy, but nowadays the limit is far too low.

   If you're comfortable using github, you can vote for this to be fixed by giving a thumbs up at https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/18693

     I know Ivory has a feature to hide/combine multiple boosts of the same post.
