   is there anyone that actually thinks discussion posts are useful ways to demonstrate their understanding of subject material? why do we pretend like they serve any real purpose?

     @hakan_geijer like prompts on services like canvas or blackboard or powerschool or whatever that students have to answer (publicly!) and then respond to a classmate's comment. aka the most useless and annoying kind of homework assignment in the history of homework assignments
