   Look for used industrial panels. They upgrade frequently and you'll get a hell of a deal

     @yngmar definetely, with PV panels practically for free today you can become totally independent.
     I've been disconnected from the grid for several months now. Yeah, I'm in Sardinia of course... 😄

     @yngmar yeah, of course you sell the rest of the car for pieces and you stay cash neutral 😄
     before buying you test the battery with a nice app and you're safe. I discovered this before spending so much on a Huawei battery...

     Of course you have no idea what you're getting. But probably a knackered old battery that may or may not have smashed into a bridge pillar at some time :D

     @yngmar try to find a Nissan Leaf at a scrapyard, you can easily connect the battery to a cheap inverter...

     Power is back on and we pumped the rain out of the basement. Dog still wet and grumpy, but he'll be fine by morning.

     Weird, we never¹ were out of power on the boat. Houses without batteries are ridiculous!

     ¹ Ok, maybe once or twice while working on the batteries.
