@kaia@brotka.st I know it's a meme, but this reminds me of a more serious story.

When I was younger, I was at the beach and we didn't have my life jacket for whatever reason. I borrowed a different one. And it was not enough to keep me above water. I kept bobbing below and above water and was struggling and I was inadvertently headed towards the underside of a dock. Right before I was about to be fully under the dock, some nice teen girl pulled me out.

I'm sure I could've drowned with a lifejacket on if not pulled out in time.
