I only "discovered" Grace VanderWaal a couple of days ago, but I really like her sound.
Here's "Repeat".

Here's "Repeat".
I recently rediscovered this Belinda Carlisle hit from the 1980s. I remember hearing it on the radio in passing many times. Enjoyed it well enough, back then.
But, gosh, I love her voice. And there is still something about this tune …
"Circle In The Sand"
Time to share one of my favourite Kiwi artists: Jordan Reyne.
Honestly, grab a copy of her album "Passenger" and play it on an awesome sound system … You'll be glad you did.
Here's "Machines of B"

I made my own video for this song once, using clips from the TV show "The Young Riders" (Yes, it is on Youtube). Jordan liked it (o:
And here's a Dunedin (NZ) classic, "Mr Creepy" from Mink.
This is another one I just learned of two days ago (I put on a cool random playlist), and I really like the blunt honesty of this one:
UPSAHL with "People I Don't Like"
And getting into the Friday night laid back clubbing vibe …
Eve "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" featuring Gwen Stefani
Another cool NZ act.
Minuit "Except You"
And, who doesn't love a Woman In Total Control Of Herself?
Here's Devon Cole's W.I.T.C.H.
Edie Brickell and New Bohemians thinks we should just get on with being who we are rather than thinking about it too much … I think?
"What I Am"
And then as counterpoint, there is Sophie B Hawkins with "Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover."
I'm going to see Texas play live in Queenstown in February. Along with Talking Heads, Pseudo Echo, and, of course, Collective Soul.
Texas "I Don't Want A Lover"
And here's to discovering more music with me. This is another one I only recently added to my playlist; thanks to a random Deezer suggestion, I think.
Rona Kenan "4AM"
And for a less ragey celebration of womanhood, here's Heather Nova's "I'm The Girl".
Pretty sure I learned of this one from a previous #JukeboxFridayNight and I still dig. Sometimes the world needs to hear women's rage.
Kiki Rockwell with "Burn Your Village (Same Old Energy pt.II)" (Part I was quite cool, too)
