feld (feld@bikeshed.party)'s status on Friday, 25-Aug-2023 12:28:37 JST feld Some OSes and BIOSes have the ability to estimate the Ethernet cable length
Does anyone know of a program that can do this? Something I can run on Linux/BSD?-

RevK :verified_r: (revk@toot.me.uk)'s status on Saturday, 26-Aug-2023 04:33:00 JST RevK :verified_r: @feld I think that is done by various Ethernet hardware, so they would just be exposing that feature. I don’t think you can do it in software in anyway as it is done using TDR on the pairs.
