   YouTube removed my moonman cover. I have submitted an appeal with the following message:

   Music is often misinterpreted as real life belief. I would like to defend this content based upon two premises:

   The first premise is the artistic license which is awarded to music and musicians alike. When a view is expressed or a statement is uttered in a song, it is not always a direct reflection of the artist’s belief or reality itself. This can be seen in the Eminem song “We As Americans” where he delivers the line “I don’t rap for dead presidents. I’d rather see the President dead“, this was not a direct threat to the president’s life it was merely artistic expression.

   The second defense I would like to provide is that of satire and parody, by using an A.I. to mimic celebrity and character voices it makes a song humorous by hearing it delivered by voices the audience knows.

     @Kirino @akari Thank god I wasn’t at work when I opened this 🤣. After listening for a few seconds I’m honestly surprised that “copyright infringement” is the reason it got pulled from YouTube.

     Funnily enough, I also got the notice for copyright infringement.
     
     YouTube mostly allows copyrighted music, as they have a system in place to ensure money goes to the original artist instead of the uploader, though it depends on how the copyright holder wants it to be handled.
