   Does anyone have any recommendations for the best, simplest, slickest plugin for #WordPress to allow visitors to subscribe for updates on the site? So many seem more Mailchimp-like, and I'm not wanting anything so elaborate - just enable visitors to pop in an email address and, zap, they get an update on new content.

     @morpheo Oh hell, you know what? I love RSS! I'm still astonished when major sites don't have an option, but also disappointed so many friends don't use RSS feed readers and such. But yes, if I could just rely on everyone thinking like us, that'd be problem solved haha!

     @MediaActivist There used to be a bunch of feed readers (and burners... like Feedburner?) - and I'm pretty sure wp still does rss (but I wouldn't bet my life on it)...

     Doesn't thunderbird read rss-feeds?

     I've been out of that specific part of the web for sooo long (:
