     It sat towering above Clyde and his associate Bill. They were CIA agents brokering a deal with the Kreilo.
     “Proceed,” the emissary projected telepathically.
     “We have a donor program for organs that should meet your needs so that there won’t be any more unsanctioned harvesting.”
     “Acceptable,” it interrupted his train of thought.

     I am excedingly sorry to inform you that the Committee has declined your application. We definitely recognize some minor technological and social achievements. But your voyage nearly took the time of your lifespan since your spacecraft are still restricted to sublight speed, so it's a rejection type B. Type B means your race is not to be eradicated at once but the planet is free for colonization by more advanced members of our organisation. Good luck.
