   any post that gets boosted more than maybe a dozen times makes Mastodon UI notifications completely fucking unusable it’s such a fucking pain in the ass and it makes no sense that it hasn’t been addressed yet

     Bluesky copied the collapsed notifications and it works just fine

     @eris there are even alternative web and mobile clients that do it, i just prefer the built-in UI for various reasons. *except* this one.
