Can't argue with perfect, but it's be _even more perfect_ if it only used blocks and colors available at your birth year.
@freezombie @mattdm @cabel They know a possible span. =)
19** is built with ancient blocks but 2*** the 2 can be built with up to year 2000 blocks, 197* the 7 is built with up to 70s blocks and the last digit knows exactly what years are allowed.
@mattdm @cabel that would be fun, but I don’t see it working: they don’t know your birth year until it’s too late
@vfrmedia @clacke @cabel @mattdm you’ll still have to compromise for people that are older than LEGO of course
@clacke @freezombie @cabel @mattdm
ISTR most of the extra colours of Lego blocks arrived around the 1980s and 1990s (I once saw a bar graph showing this) so it would be also possible to select an an expanded palette if "8" or "9" are entered...
@clacke @freezombie @cabel @mattdm or blocks are switched out as soon as more knowledge is aquired with every digit, i remember modifying a lot of stuff all the time.
