Keyboard shortcut for web browsers that I stumbled across recently:

To switch to the third tab, press Alt + 3. And so on. Alt + 9 switches to the last tab, not necessarily the ninth.

Now that I know this, I use it all the time. I put tabs in a certain order and use Alt + [number] to quickly go to the desired tab.
