   @assaf I just read this update on Labnotes! I had noticed the lack of updates and wondered what was up. So sorry to hear about your accident but I'm glad you have such a wonderful partner and great medical care. Best of luck as you continue to recover and I hope you bounce back 100%.

     Where’s Assaf?

     The past three months have been quite the adventure. On May 4, I was headed home, walking back from my regular coffee shop, and was hit by a car going way too fast.

     Seriously hit. Broken bones, torn liver, spinal cord injury, the works. I ended up in ICU, sedated for two weeks, underwent 7 surgeries. They were not sure that I’d make it out alive, or fully recover, possibly be paralyzed.
