So I've decided to move to a Nordic country in the next 5 to 10 years. I feel like 5 years is about enough time to achieve near-native fluency in the language of whichever country I choose. Also I'm seriously considering getting my CPA here before moving, ideally I'd hope to find a position in commercial management to move to.
As of right now I'm pretty evenly split between Norway and Denmark and I'm looking for whatever insight I can get that would recommend one over the other (or possibly some third country.) If you see this on your timeline and live in any of the Nordic countries or if you have experience with relocating to this part of the world from NA please feel free to share any input you might have on the subject.

I would recommend Norway over Denmark simply because of more beautiful nature for your spare time and many many more people visiting as tourists. The industry in Norway is in perpetual movement. I think there is more possibilities in Norway. It's much much richer. Norway is the richest country in the world per capita. Besides there's more projects at any given time. Denmark is a flat country and small.

I think being an expat can be socially challenging in general, unless you go somewhere that’s an expat hotspot or have some connection there.

One of the things for Denmark is that it's maybe easier to make friends there. Norwegians are notorious for difficulty making friends as groups are very tight knit

@dicey @pressure @bot besides the people in norway speak an actual language and don't sound like they're perpetually choking on something

Some places are easier. And in Norway from the foreigners I heard it's one of the hardest places to make friends. But you will always meet someone hopefully and the nature makes up for it. It's so beautiful but being alone in such powerful nature is soul crushing
