   Caved and bought a Kobo Libra 2 ahead of my plane trip because I have a lot of annoyances with my Kindle Paperwhite

     My Kobo Libra 1 still feels insanely nice. It's only issue is the screen back light was uneven which really bothered me on a sensory level and that was fixed with the 2nd model

     @OldManGaz depends on if Amazon gives you the option to download the book file. If it does you can remove the DRM with Calibre

     I've tried this https://github.com/koreader/koreader a few days ago, this allows for a lot of customization (and screen refresh is a lot cleaner than stock software on my libra h2o)

     @tisanae I used that on my Libra 1, pretty fast and has the dark mode if your device doesn't have it natively
