@Cayhr seriously it's amazing though how... bad... people are at financials.
I know for a fact you learn this shit in school since I literally took a class on all of this in high school.

@Halo @Cayhr
cultural thing I suppose, the first thing the average youth does when becoming an adult is go directly into a mountain of debt
-multi-generational wealth? :WatameNo:
-investing? :WatameNo:
-understanding how basic economics even work? :WatameNo:
wow, you conveniently are now able to smoke and drink at the age you start to realize the situation youre in :astolfo_necopethumb: :newport:
people have no sense of what shit is actually worth because they've never had to deal with it, consumerism is rampant and college doesnt teach you relevant work skills, have fun :konata_thumb:

@Halo Economic/financial illiteracy? Immediate gratification? Who knows. All I know is, I minimize as much debt as much as possible: both financial and social. Social would be things like returning favors and I-O-U's.

@Halo @Cayhr
A college or a regular highschool? Cause everywhere I know of dropped those courses a long time ago, a few places offered them as electives but most just killed them entirely.

every normalfag in modern society :asui_what:
have you not seen the insane amount of debt people casually rack up for some godforsaken reason
also it was more of... finance management.
budgeting, when to take on a loan, how to do your taxes, how to determine a good loan, etc, etc.

@Halo @Giganova8 @Cayhr what kind of fatherless retard do you have to be that you need school to tell you debts are bad :asui_what:
-

@Halo @Cayhr @Giganova8 no amount of school teaching would fix that retardation. same people that fall for these scam apps where you need to watch ads to get 10th of a dollar :zt_laugh:
the only time taking out loans makes sense is if you are sure you get a return like starting a business or buying a house not the new iphone lol

@Halo I had to learn all of this after high school because the US education system teaches you jack squat (they also brainwashed me into worshipping Obama in elementary school).
Also, on your other reply: yeah, but at least get a good amount of down. Plus, houses are different from pay-later for almost literally everything. I think the worst things I've seen are young adults taking out loans for cars... while also having loans for university. :senko_disgust:

@Halo @Cayhr Yeah, uh... A majority of American and Canadian schools don't actually teach this...

@Echigo @Cayhr @Halo Ironically, the only reason I learned a little about finances was because I am autistic and the special needs teacher kept pulling me out of regular classes (including electives) to put me into special needs classes :kekw:

@Ronnie21093 @Halo @Cayhr Can confirm. Even when I learned it in school it was mainly just talking about the bare basic and the teacher handing out small pamphlet books. I still have one of them somewhere.
