      @kaia I hope this also applies to laptops. The last time I changed the keyboard of my laptop, I wasn't able to turn it on again.

      @kaia batteries are not a component that needs to be user replaceable. this insistence on users tearing down their own phone is detrimental to phone design in general, waterproofing a removable component takes a lot of space. we need to instead cheer on phones with ribbon cable batteries instead of soldered on glued on bullshit

      @kaia I'm still on my first phone with a non-removable battery (Google Pixel 4a). Jury's still out if I'll regret it, it's only been three years.

      @kaia on a completely unrelated note, that battery design from the preview has all the flaws of newer iPod Nanos (2-5 gens), especially the fact that if the battery expands inside the phone, you're basically screwed. openable back cover is the way, why would anyone ditch that in favor of ejecting half of the phone as a fucking pistol magazine
