     You can actually track it to the screen even at an angle, and you could use masking to deal with the arm. It’s doable.

     roto brushing the laptop in ae would probably be easiest
     
     if you have an adobe cc subscription through work or whatever, one of the betas has a major update to rotobrush that makes it much more accurate.

     doesn't the free version have a watermark/only allow certain features? I'd just go for kdenlive if I wasn't using the adobe suite

     sounds like the video equivalent of Reaper. I generally just use cracks for adobe stuff on my computer, even when I have access through work accounts.
