@cassidyclown I have had rebecca for a year, and Lupe the second parrot, I have had for around 3 months. I got her in a similar situation, this guy I knew didn't want her anymore, so I bought her because I wanted the first parrot to have a friend. They're social animals in nature.

@demitasse Yeah they look like amazons - blue-fronted amazons I think. They're insanely intelligent. How recently did you get them?

Do they wake you up super early and drive you insane?

@bot @cassidyclown No, suprisingly they don't. I cover their cages with a blanket and they don't make noise until I uncover them in the morning. We wake up pretty early though because my son has school so like by 6-7 am they are awake everyday

Hmm I have to look into this more. Can you have birbs if you have cats and dogs or will they eat them or something?

@bot @cassidyclown I have 3 cats and 2 dogs, so yes you can. They will fuck a cat up.

@bot @demitasse big parrots like amazons and macaws are more likely to hurt small dogs and cats tbh but they're also incredibly intelligent and complicated creatures that can send you to hospital and self-mutilate if they're unhappy. It can be like having a bipolar toddler for 80 years.

@cassidyclown @bot That's a humorous but accurate description. You have to handle them daily and not keep them locked in a cage so they are content
