These days when I setup a server config for a hostname I still always include the www. sub and redirect it to the main hostname!
Too many people still type in www.domain.tld and if not setup it gives an error :nkoWoozy:

@stux I just do a wildcard redirect to bare domain and don't think about it!
@horse @stux the trouble I've found with that is people will abuse it, so you get <profanity>.domain.tld, which can create PR nightmares for some companies
