     @Moon in my parents homeland of India, we have this sacred concept of "khanna māgaṇē." One can go to certain places, either alone or with friends and/or family, and ask for food. Once the food is finished, it is customary to give an appropriate amount of paisē* as a show of appreciation for their kindness.
