   I want to emphasize that Pawoo hosts actual child porn of sex trafficked human children. It's so common I've seen it on the homepage while randomly visiting the website. It went on for so long I thought it was due to Japan's weird age of consent laws and maybe they didn't care... But yeah, don't host child porn.

     @alex pawoo was originally for Japanese artists, but they let anyone sign up so it became a cesspool really quick. I’m glad it’s down now.

     @Xeraser @alex baraag has an advantage in the sense it's more English speaking (like much of the fedi is) and bans pedo advocacy too. Now if they actually enforce it is another story.

     @alex The problem with Pawoo is that there's basically no moderation there. What was originally an instance for JP artists to post their shit became a paradise for actual pedophiles to post/sell/request actual CSAM. The fact that most faggots inundated the Pawoo guy with reports for loli/shota in english most likely prompted him to ignore most if not all reports written in english. The guy takes ages to respond but he does respond if you write to him in japanese. Still inexcusable - either get a moderation team/close registrations/vet users/a combination of all these or shut down until you can achieve any of those.
     
     Pretty sure baraag suffers from the same problem but to a far lesser extent.
