     The network drops off. Originally a few times a week, now it's several times a day. Rebooting my PC usually fixed it.

     My work laptop never had a problem. And it sits on the desk right next to my PC.

     Internet got turned on at the new house today - I'll try working from there tomorrow afternoon, and see if things work better.

     @tj @JackBandit the wifi or the WAN uplink? do you have an Asus router? they pushed a bum firmware update a few weeks ago that was causing DHCP address renewal to fail on my phone about every 24 hours. seems to have been fixed in a subsequent update

     I've been trying to fix the network problem with my computer all kinds of ways because I thought I was the only one having the problem. Turns out my son's PC has the same problem.

     I wasted so much time.

     @JackBandit yeah rebooting fixes 99% of intermittent problems :)

     mine was persistent so I had to look into it unfortunately. I do have auto update on the Asus router as generally their firmware is pretty decent, and to their credit it was fixed and updated after a week or two. I should probably run DD-WRT again but I don't want yet another device I need to spend time to administer and babysit
