   Google's Genesis AI can, reportedly, take current events and write news articles about it.

   This is incredibly bad. Very bad. I don't believe this technology should be used, ever, because I can truly see very little benefit and extremely substantial risk.

   These huge publications who are seeing the demo should, immediately, push back and prevent this from being possible. #AI

     2. Journalist human biases have eroded the publics trust in journalism. No lie I'd trust an ai generated article to lie to me less than a journalist does. They do it as naturally as they breathe.

     Use an AI-assist in your journalism if it helps, but there should be no capability for an LLM or generative AI to even write up to the minute text on current events. We can just limit this, right now, because it's not good for readers at all, introduces potentially deadly risks (imagine it writing dispatches about a conflict, warzone, politics etc.) and we've already seen firsthand how poorly these models are suited for news.

     I would too, journos are super dishonest, but otoh ai is just going to do the same job for them but at least everyone will know it’s fake and gay.
