   @mia @sjw @Salastil That would make sense to me. Thoughever, all my radio knowledge is rusty and technician class lmao. I just keep my handy talkie around for hurricane season, mostly.

     We had a cute old man as a neighbor at the RV park, I asked him what kinda radio he was running when I saw he antenna on his truck -- CB turns out, we talked about linear amps, and he said "Some people get upset, but I just turn it up even higher on em."
     
     Once the radio shack out here is built up I am going to invite him out to play around with amps and see what we can cook up.

     @sjw How big of setup is this guy running if he is in Cali and can be heard all the way in Tennessee and Chicago? I didn't know CB could transmit that far like some of the shortwave bands.
