Mirko Schenk (mort@procial.tchncs.de)'s status on Friday, 28-Jul-2023 00:31:01 JST Mirko Schenk @kaia@brotka.st It's an old legend of a people in eastern Saxony. There are many variants (in the west, a romantic one of a children books author that ends before others really start, is most popular), but most agree about an evil miller that grinds bones/bodies to enlongen his life. Krabat, his apprentice, defies him, and either lives happily ever after or travels the world, fights wars, and so on using the old master's magic book.
