@gerrymcgovern Why not capture the waste and use the heat it contains?
@IanDSmith Many of these data centers are truly mega and in isolated areas. And you have to understand, data centers are seen as a quick buck investment. They're interested in doing everything as cheaply as possible.
@gerrymcgovern So selling hot waste water to others won't make them money?
@IanDSmith There are a few smaller ones doing it, but if you're isolated you have to transport the heat over distance. Often, the cheapest way is to dump the heat into the atmosphere.
