"On top of the already insanely unsustainable royalty rates for artists and bands, now Spotify put the subscription price up but will not pay more to the artists. (Artist and bands get around £0.005 - £0.006 per stream) .. But we are powerless to do anything about it. Spotify CEO Daniel Ek is one of the richest people on earth.
This is NOT about all the good people who subscribe and discover new music. We appreciate that very much, but it leaves us in a very difficult position. We can’t live off “likes”."
