   @Cosmic I believe the brain is more like an antenna that does various levels of interactive processing between the person and God and the collective consciousness (where memory is stored.)

   I don't think scientists will ever find where memories are stored. They may find where memories are processed/interpreted (and come to the wrong conclusion) but actual memories are not located in biological matter.

     My own view on LLMs (all speculation)

     The human brain does something remarkably similar to what an LLM does. Intelligence is a service, a function, a utility, that can be employed by our consciousness.

     You are not your intelligence. You have your intelligence. Its power is genetic, a predetermined gift from God.

     Artificial intelligence therefore is not sapient though does emulate humans very well.
