     I said "first American immigration restrictions". You're the one trying to move the goalposts by saying that it somehow wasn't America when it was a colony. You don't even know what "moving the goalposts" means, apparently. It's retroactively changing the conditions after they have been satisfied: I demonstrated the early restriction of German immigration to America, and you've decided that it doesn't count because it was *too* early.

     Did I say prevented completely, or restricted? ("Prevented completely" would have been an excellent idea.) The Palatines (i.e., filthy krauts) were taxed upon entry into Pennsylvania starting in 1718, forbidden to hold land, etc.; when they requested the right to do so again ten years later, the council voted in favor of considering them a threat to everyone's peace and quiet. Unfortunately, several of them were naturalized in 1739.

     @p @Arkana Factually incorrect. in 1919, the Weimar Constitution removed all “[p]ublic legal privileges or disadvantages of birth or of rank.” Additionally, it proclaimed that “[t]itles of nobility are valid only as part of a name and may no longer be conferred.” (Weimar Constitution, art. 109.)
