     @charliejane I think I’ve lost track of the original Joker comic origin story. The Tim Burton Batman origin is my head cannon.

     But, yeah. I think the Joker movie was trying too hard to be a love letter / retooling of “The King of Comedy.” Your view would’ve made for a better movie & story.

     @charliejane I don't think he should have any origin story.

     At least, not a definitive one. I like the hook that he tells different sob stories to different people to manipulate them, but always as an unreliable narrator.
